to the website of the Watoto Samburu Foundation. (Watoto means children in Swahili).

The Watoto Foundation Samburu was founded on March 27, 2000 by the artist couple Marianne (sculptuur) and Hans Houtkamp (painter) after their first visit to the Samburu - Kenya. The purpose of the foundation is to contribute to improving the future of the children of the Samburu.

The projects focus on education, clean water facilities, construction, medical care and many others. This is made possible by the highly valued contributions from other donors, sponsors, volunteers and interested.
